Fabric ligatures have become so popular because they hold the reed without clamping (and therefore deadening) it, unlike the metal ligatures which tend to come with saxes.  This allows the reed to vibrate more freely, producing a more "woody" tone and making articulation easier to control.

BG's Flex series ligatures are made from a specially treated, durable material and are easy to fit with the single tightening screw, making them especially suitable for for students and younger players.

The LFJ4 is designed to fit most slim metal alto sax mouthpieces, including Beechler and Larsen and comes with a mouthpiece cap.
