This is an incredibly good active ukulele pickup. Really very good indeed! Is that enough information? Well, probably not...

Fishman say of their product 'Matrix Infinity has literally redefined the category of undersaddle pickup systems'. Which is a fancy way of saying" it's really good". You see - we just made the language a bit simpler! Certainly, this system offers crystal clarity and really impressive, dynamic string response. It is basically a professional bit of kit and has fantastic performance as a result.

The Matrix infinity has an endpin jack, with built in preamp, a piezo pickup and a soundhole based control system. That's the thing with ukulele pickups, try as you might to simplify things - you end up saying 'sound hole based control system'. It is basically a tone and volume control, with a wheel for each, and it is stuck inside the ukulele, so you can access it through the soundhole....  Fishman's website offers installation instructions, but unless you are a whizz with this sort of thing, a qualified technician or luthier would be your best bet to get this in your ukulele.

Looking at Ukulele Underground for reviews of the Fishman Matrix Infinity, the quality of tone and the 'controlability' comes to the fore, with one performer noting 'The real test would come when we gigged with the configuration for the first time. That came yesterday, and boy, what a pleasure. The ukulele sounded wonderful and the control that I had was invaluable'.
