The Ibanez M510E is a very good quality mandolin in the 'serious beginner' price bracket. There are cheaper mandolins, but the good thing about this model is, with the Ibanez name behind it, you don't get some of the finish and intonation issues you can sometimes find with budget brands.

This A-style mandolin has a spruce top, mahogany back and sides, chrome hardware and a single coil magnetic pickup with volume and tone controls. It has a pleasant, sweet, singing tone and holds its tuning very well.
