This ukulele has a mahogany front with traditional white binding; a rosewood neck; Nato back and sides; accurate, geared tuning pegs; and Aquila Nylgut strings. All this adds up to a very well-made ukulele with a rich tonal range. Although the Kala KA-S is an all-laminate instrument (virtually everything is at this price range), it has lots going for it. The Kala KA-S is nicely made and finished, it's got great strings, once they've settled it holds its tuning well, it looks good and best of all, the tone is really sweet.
