This Kala KA-SEM is a very nice looking soprano ukulele, with flamed exotic laminate mahogany body. It is made to the same design as the popular Kala KA-S ukulele, but using a bolder, more interesting mahogany. With Aquila strings fitted, this proves to be a good combination - with a sweeter tone than the KA-S, making the small extra outlay worth the money. Any Kala KA-SEM ukulele review would mention its good looks, but sound-wise it really punches above its weight too.
