The system adds very little weight to your uke and optimised for the uke's tonal range - as opposed to just an adapted guitar pickup. The volume control is accessed through the soundhole - which for us means it is best in tenor or baritone sizes. While soprano and concerts are ok, the small soundhole size makes the control a little irritating to access through the strings.
