The flea ukulele has a birch top, and very unusually, a bowled, moulded plastic back. If that wasn't strange enough, this Magic Fluke Flea ukulele has a polycarbonate fingerboard and frets.

The flea ukulele has grover tuners and is fitted with Aquila strings, or D'addario Nyltech - which are made by Aquila. Tuning is very stable, and if they ever do slacken off, you can tighten the pegs easily yourself with a screwdriver. The intonation is fantastic on the flea ukulele. The use of a man made material for the fretboard and frets seems unusual, but given the precision it offers over natural materials - it actually makes sense.
