This is the  second ukulele we have designed and had produced to our specifications. The Klasiko ukulele is a solid cedar top instrument with deep brown rosewood back and sides. Following our experiments with our prototype and different string brands, we settled on Worth Clear strings giving us the distinctive, clear voice we were looking for with the Klasiko. Each ukulele is numbered and signed in a strict limited edition. Only 40 concert ukuleles will ever be made.

The Klasiko is a handsome ukulele, with a lovely finish and some nice touches. These don't make it sound better, but they certainly make it look gorgeous! There is maple binding, which looks particularly nice against the grain of the rosewood, especially in wedge at the bottom. The solid cedar top looks nice under a polished satin finish (it's not a dense gloss which alters the tone, think of it as a shinier satin without being full gloss). The top also has abalone inlays which, while purely decorative, certainly look striking. As long as it sounds good, and this uke is powerful, then there's no harm in it looking pretty, is there?

This uke has a relatively thin neck profile and a 37mm nut width. A Kala tenor ukulele has a 34mm nut typically, so this gives more room for your fingers, while keeping the concert shape and tone. The closed-geared tuners have reliable, smooth mechanisms and very tactile black, soft-touch buttons.

By designing our own ukulele, we're effectively cutting out the distributor and therefore we're able to produce a better sounding ukulele than those at a similar price level on the general market - there is no middle-man taking a cut. This Klasiko ukulele has taken a long time to get off the drawing board as we sought to make improvements to get it just right. It has a strong, bold voice and volume to spare, so we think it is a winner!
