The Ozark 2222 is an exceptional value bouzouki.  Built and hand-,finished in Romania, with solid maple back and sides, and fitted with an excellent solid spruce soundboard. The soundboard has a tasteful inlayed escutcheon rosewood veneer around the sound-hole. Maple and ebony bridge and a maple neck with slotted headstock finish this instrument off.

We find these Bouzoukis have an excellent tone and volume at a fraction of the price normally paid for a solid top instrument. We like to point out though that the overall finish of the Ozark 2222 is reflected in its price. It is a very playable and good sounding bouzouki; the satin finish is fine but not a thick coat; the fretboard edging is very basic but  has no rough edges; the soundboards are solid spruce, but sometimes they have the odd shake in the wood. This makes no difference to the sound, and is how natural wood looks, but some people would prefer a blemish-free look.
