Premier’s Artist series is designed for accomplished players who are not yet rich. Artist drums feature precision-cut bearing edges on hand-laminated shells for a complex and precise tone usually produced only by far costlier kits. Superb engineering is evident on the carefully-crafted hardware, including separate low-mass lugs with cushion plinths to provide minimum wood/metal contact. Tension bolts with integral plain and compression washers, ISO tom mounts, and triple-flange steel Pro-Rings combine with easy-adjust bass spurs for fantastic control and stability.

The shells of the Artist Birch series comprise seven plies of 100% selected birch configured in 5.5mm for the toms and snares, and 7mm for bass drums. The birch produces a round, full, and rich tone that’s great onstage and is particularly well-suited for studio applications. The shells are hand-laminated in solid formers for perfect roundness. They feature angular butt-joints for additional strength and rigidity. As with the Cabria kits, the smaller “quick size” Artist toms provide instant response and unique voicing.
