This French horn is brand new, and has been in the storeroom for a year, but ,on inspection, we discovered that some of the lacquer has flaked off (see photo). Obviously this doesn't affect the sound or feel, it's purely cosmetic.  Our workshop technician suggests that the copper stain can be removed with steel wool, leaving polished brass without lacquer. We can do this if required. We've checked all over the instrument, and the rest of the lacquer finish is sound. The Rosetti Series 5 single French horn is a quality instrument. These single horns are good for beginners especially, being comparatively light-weight. The fundamentals of horn playing can be learned, in preparation for the more professional double horn. The Rosetti series 5 horn has a rose brass lead pipe and quality rotary valves. The case is smart and light-weight but offers good protection. This horn is in the usual key of F. Bb horns are also available. Lacquer finish ,3 rotary valves ,11 inch bell.
