The Seagull S6 QI offers an entry level acoustic guitar for serious players, with a select, pressure tested Canadian solid cedar top. Solid tops allow vibration to occur more freely, allowing a better tone to develop, and this is certainly evident in this nicely made and nicely finished Seagull acoustic guitar. The Seagull S6 QI has a back and sides made from triple layered lamination of wild cherry wood, giving this acoustic guitar a well balanced tone which falls somewhere on the spectrum between mahogany warmth and maple brightness, making it a really fine sounding instrument.
The Seagull S6 QI also features a hand finished neck made from silverleaf maple, a custom polished finish, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, compensated tusq nut and saddle and a double function truss rod. In short, the S6 originals are well made, with good materials, offering excellent value.

The electronics are by another Candian firm just down the road from the Godin factory, and they have a good working relationship with Godin, who are their main customers.  The Q1 preamp circuit comes with treble, bass and volume with an extra button for the built in tuner.
