This is the popular and great value Vintage ukulele outfit, VUK20N. But with big difference. The instrument has been checked over by our technician and fitted with top of the line Aquila strings. The vintage soprano ukulele is well made for the price bracket, but the black nylon strings supplied with the factory model sold by other suppliers in no way fill the potential of this nice little uke. The Aquila strings, in our opinion, at least double the sound quality of this instrument.

The laminate mahogany body and economy, but decent machine heads on this instrument, combined with the Aquila strings produce a very nice tone. Obviously, this pushes up the price a little, but it is well worth the extra for an instrument which will sound great - as opposed to a little disappointing. Despite the vintage ukulele being a great seller - because of the strings issue, we do not sell the standard ukulele, only this upgraded version. We don't want people to be disappointed so we have created this deluxe model. It also includes a light gig bag, and ukulele pitchpipes.

There is nothing wrong with the vintage ukulele sold by other companies, as it is still good value for the price. It all depends on whether you want absolute economy, or an instrument that sounds a lot a better. The standard vintage model is great fun and a nice novelty, but the PLUS model is actually a decent instrument to learn the uke with.
