The Vintage V80BB in Boulevard Black, is a great looking bass with a single pickup which can be beefed up with Wilkinson "roll control" which as the ability to switch between a single coil or double coil sound, plus all of the varying sounds in between. There's a lot of tone shaping available here, coupled with the nice Jazz bass style neck profile and quality hardware, makes this a good starting price point for quality bass guitars.
