Yanagisawa have never been afraid to improve a winning formula and the AW01 (the replacement for the extremely succesful and respected A901) is proof of their commitment to development, featuring some smart innovations which make the new model even better value than its predecessor.

The AW01's keywork has been subtley re-shaped in significant places to aid control and smooth fingering. When combined with Yanagisawa's feather-light action this makes the AW01 a real joy to play, leaving you in no doubt that it will keep up with whatever you demand of it.

Further improvements have been made to the AW01 including a redesigned bore and tone-holes, a palm key plate (previously only on more expensive models) and a new neck plate. These all result in a more solid and even tone with greater resonance.

When added to Yanagisawa's standard attention to detail, including a teflon coated octave mechanism for smooth operation, blue-steel springs and air-tight and waterproof pads for stability and longevity, and indented white shell keys to aid accurate fingering, this results in a really professional feeling and sounding sax for a fantastic price.

The AW01 is supplied as an outfit with a quality hard case, mouthpiece, ligature and cleaning kit.
